In the first quarter of 2025, the personal finance app market in Portugal saw varied performance across the top five applications. This analysis, derived from Sensor Tower data, provides insights into their weekly downloads, revenue, and active user trends.

Splitwise experienced a modest increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $603 in mid-February. Its weekly downloads began at 4.5K at the start of the quarter, gradually stabilizing to about 2.2K by the end of March. Active users showed recovery from 50.9K in late January to 68.6K by the end of March.

The Money manager, expense tracker saw fluctuations in weekly revenue, with a peak of $93 in mid-March. Downloads decreased from 1.4K at the quarter's beginning to just over 1K by March end. Active users increased steadily, reaching a high of 19K in mid-February before a slight decline towards the quarter's close.

Downloads showed a similar trend, starting at 649 and ending at 478. Active users increased from 6.5K to 8.5K by mid-February before slightly declining to 6.9K at the quarter's end.
